Committee Description:
PROGRAMMING

Committee Member Responsibilities:           
PLAN AND EXECUTE 1-HOUR VIRTUAL EVENTS FOR ACSN MEMBERS

  • FALL & SPRING SEMESTERS:
    • Host 1 program in either Fall or Spring, depending on committee size
      • Identify topic
      • Create Zoom link
      • Share event details (speaker info, date, Zoom link) with Marketing Committee Chair & Riggs Partner via Marketing form
      • Prep speaker(s)
      • Host live event (introduce speaker, manage Chat, manage Q&A)

HOST ‘SHARE & TELL’ PROGRAM 2-3x PER YEAR

  • FALL & SPRING SEMESTERS:
    • Host 1 program in either Fall or Spring, depending on committee size
      • Event overview: Allow 5 ACSN members to ask questions in each session, allowing 8 minutes per question where colleagues provide insight and answers

RECRUIT NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS

  • SUMMER/CONFERENCE:
    • Be prepared to speak about the role to interested new committee members

Co-Chair Responsibilities:          
PREPARE FOR COMMITTEE MEETINGS

UPDATE ACSN BOARD

  • FALL & SPRING SEMESTERS:
    • Attend monthly board meetings
  • SUMMER/CONFERENCE:
    • Provide written year-end summary report for Annual Report
    • Attend annual in-person board meeting at annual conference

CREATE STRATEGIES TO IDENTIFY EDUCATIONAL SPEAKERS

  • FALL & SPRING SEMESTERS:
    • Identify and implement strategies to develop a pipeline of speakers for educational programming
  • SUMMER/CONFERENCE:
    • Assist conference committee as needed with speaker ideas

TIME COMMITMENT

  • EACH SEMESTER:
    • Meet monthly with the committee to plan out the programming calendar
    • Host a 1-hour event each semester at a time that works best in your schedule

1 year – Committee Member
2 years – Co-Chair
