President's Message April 2026“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” — Audrey Hepburn
Spring is naturally a season for looking ahead - whether in our gardens, our personal lives, or our work. Right now, I am focused on how we can expand career and professional development resources for our alums, a goal I know many of you share as we navigate a shifting landscape.
It is no secret that we are living through a time of immense pressure. Between global conflict, challenges facing higher education, and the specific attacks on the LGBTQ+ and transgender communities, the world can feel heavy. Combined with the volatility of the current job market, it’s easy to feel drained - in both our professional and personal lives. In the face of this, where do you find hope? What stories keep you afloat? For me, it’s my niece and nephews. Their humor and spirit remind me that the future still holds the capacity to be incredibly bright. I’d love to hear what is giving you hope this month. Feel free to share your thoughts with me at [email protected]. In solidarity, |
