President's Message August 2021

Hello Colleagues,

As we wrap up the year and prepare for a new academic year, I would like to say that it has been a privilege to serve as President. Thank you for the opportunity. I admire the dedication of this board and all the committee members as each volunteer put their heart and soul toward excellence for ACSN! I thoroughly enjoyed working with such a dedicated team. I also thank Riggs Enterprise (our association management company) for their partnership, support, and contributions to our professional growth as an association. I thank our partners and conference sponsors who help support us and offer our alumni the tools and information to further their career development.

Lastly, I appreciate the members of ACSN who sustain our reputation as a collegial organization. I hope that throughout the year that culminated with an outstanding conference, that you shared ideas, connected with colleagues, added to your industry expertise, and most importantly felt a community of support.

As we start a new term, you will hear from our incoming President, James Chang, University of Oregon. James will lead us into the next phase of navigating the ever-changing landscape of our industry. For those of you who know James or met him virtually during our conference, you will understand when I say that he will lead us with confidence, intelligence, kindness, and grace.
