President's Message January 2026

If your inbox and social feeds are full of hustle culture and "New Year, New Me" resolutions, it can feel overwhelming, especially, if like me, you are still in a season of recharging.

A friend recently shared a perspective that deeply resonated with me: "In nature, nothing new starts until spring." She reminded me that prioritizing rest in the literal and figurative "dark" of mid-winter is more than okay. It was the permission I needed to skip creating lofty goals, or a New Years bingo card, and instead, to focus on rest, joy, and my own well-being as we enter 2026.

I hope that you will take a moment to reflect and determine what mindset makes the most sense for you. Whether you are ready to hit the ground running or aren't ready to start your "new year" until the season turns, you are in good company.

In solidarity,
Kate
