Position: Chair, Marketing & Communications

The Chair, Marketing & Communications oversees all aspects of communication with members and outside constituents and collaborates with other Board committees to accomplish their goals. This includes the following:

  • Providing strategy and suggestions on future communications efforts and initiatives, and implementation of these efforts
  • Managing all the virtual presence (social media channels; LinkedIn, Website, Twitter and IG)
  • Continually streamlining the communication processes and operational efficiencies to ensure all committees are getting the support they need to achieve their goals
  • Drafting and executing monthly newsletter, emails and any other administrative forms needed
  • Liaising with Membership to support membership growth and retention

  • Prior marketing, communications and social media experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines successfully
  • General project management experience
  • Experience/familiarity with design and copywriting best practices
  • Familiarity with design, project management and digital media tools and technologies
  • Strong active listening and communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize concepts into an actionable plan; sequential and big picture thinking
